Josh Jacobs Responds to Boos From Lions Fans After Week 7 Return: ‘I Don’t Care. I’mma Hoop’
Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs heard it loud at Ford Field.
In his first game back after missing the first six games of 2026 on the NFL’s commissioner exempt list following a domestic violence accusation in May, Jacobs was booed by Detroit Lions fans during introductions and throughout Sunday’s 20-17 loss.
Detroit was the first fan base to have the chance to react to him in person since his return.
When asked Tuesday about the boos, Jacobs didn’t hold back.
“, I don’t care. I’mma hoop,” Jacobs said via The Athletic. “That’s all I can do. All I can do is control what I can control. I’mma go out there and play ball.”[Expletive]
His return was mixed. Jacobs ran for 36 yards on 11 carries (3.3 ypc) and added 5 catches for 55 yards and a touchdown. But he also had a crucial drop on a potential go-ahead TD late in the fourth quarter that led to a missed field goal and Detroit’s game-winning drive.
The Packers now look ahead to his 2026 Lambeau debut — where the reaction could be even louder.
