Keisean Nixon Gets Packers Injury Designation Just Hours Before Thursday Night Football vs. Panthers
The Green Bay Packers just made a late addition to their injury report — and it’s a big one for Thursday Night Football.
Cornerback Keisean Nixon is now listed as questionable to play vs. the Carolina Panthers with a shoulder injury, per PackersWire and Packers.com. He was not on the Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday reports — added Thursday, hours before kickoff at Bank of America Stadium.
Nixon has started all seven games this season, had an INT in Week 1 vs Detroit, and is a two-time First-Team All-Pro as a returner. He played through shoulder issues vs Dallas and Detroit, but this is a new designation.
Packers are 4-3 after the 20-17 loss to Detroit, already down starting OL Sean Rhyan (ankle) and Travis Glover (knee), with four other questionable: Matthew Golden (foot/shoulder), Anthony Campbell (ankle), Devonte Wyatt (ankle), Brenton Cox Jr. (quad). If Nixon can’t go, Packers will be thin vs Bryce Young and Tetairoa McMillan on TNF.
Official status: Questionable — 8:20pm ET, TNF Week 8.
