Dan Campbell Reveals What the Lions Must Watch Out for Against the Panthers

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell has taken a close look at the Carolina Panthers ahead of Sunday night’s matchup, breaking down the players and areas that could make the biggest difference.

With Detroit sitting at 2-1 and Carolina entering the game at 1-2, both teams have plenty to prove.

Campbell discussed Carolina quarterback Bryce Young and what makes the Panthers’ offense dangerous. Young has been one of the league’s most productive passers early in the season, giving Detroit’s defense another major challenge.

The Lions will also have to be prepared for Carolina’s defensive approach.

Detroit’s offense has been among the team’s biggest strengths so far, with Jared Goff, Jahmyr Gibbs and Amon-Ra St. Brown leading an attack that has scored at least 30 points in each of its first three games.

But Campbell knows the Panthers won’t simply allow Detroit to dictate the game.

The Lions’ biggest concern could ultimately be whether their defense can slow down Young and prevent Carolina from turning the matchup into another offensive shootout.

Detroit has struggled defensively early this season, particularly against the pass, making Campbell’s preparation especially important heading into the primetime contest.

The Lions will need to execute the game plan Campbell has laid out if they want to leave Carolina with another victory and improve to 3-1.
