NFL Hands Down Punishment to 3 Panthers Players Ahead of Lions Clash

Three Panthers Players Hit With NFL Fines Just Before Lions Showdown

The Carolina Panthers have been hit with three NFL fines just before their highly anticipated Sunday night matchup against the Detroit Lions.

The league announced the punishments ahead of Week 4 after reviewing incidents from Carolina’s 21-18 loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 3.

A.J. Dillon, Lee Hunter and Thomas Incoom were all fined for separate incidents during the game.

Dillon received a $6,750 fine for a facemask penalty that resulted in unnecessary roughness during the fourth quarter.

Hunter was handed a $10,174 fine for unsportsmanlike conduct after being penalized for taunting in the third quarter.

Incoom received the largest fine of the three, with the defensive lineman ordered to pay $9,222 for unnecessary roughness involving the use of his helmet.

The punishments come at an important time for Carolina, with the Panthers preparing to face a Detroit team that entered the matchup with a 2-1 record.

The good news for Carolina is that none of the three players received a suspension. That means all three remain available for the Panthers as they attempt to pull off an upset against the Lions.

Carolina entered the game at 1-2 and is looking to make a statement against Detroit before heading into an early bye week.

With both teams having plenty to prove, the Panthers will need their full roster available as they attempt to slow down one of the NFL’s more dangerous offenses.
