BIG 12

BREAKING: 4 Start Ol flips commit to Oklahoma State in after rejecting Texas and Baylor…

Oklahoma State scored a notable recruiting win by securing the commitment of 6-foot-6, 285-pound offensive lineman Kole Seaton, who backed off his pledge to Baylor this week. The Mesquite Horn (TX) product made the switch shortly after the Cowboys extended an offer, finalizing the flip within a day.

Seaton originally committed to Baylor in November, expecting to join a stable and developing offensive line unit. But that stability quickly disappeared. Baylor is currently without an offensive line coach, and the program has seen a wave of roster movement that has raised questions about its long-term direction. With no coaching clarity, Seaton began reevaluating his choice.

Oklahoma State took advantage of the situation. Led by offensive coordinator Eric Morris, the Cowboys have prioritized rebuilding their offensive front and establishing consistent leadership. Their structure, momentum, and clear developmental plan made OSU an appealing alternative for the young lineman.

The switch is also an important step for Oklahoma State’s staff, as the program aims to fix an offensive line that has struggled under Mike Gundy in recent years. Seaton brings promising size and mobility, and with added strength and refinement, he has the potential to become a Big 12 starter down the road.

For Baylor, Seaton’s flip adds to a growing list of recruiting losses in recent weeks. Without an offensive line coach in place, the Bears continue to face major obstacles in keeping current commits and attracting new ones. Stability on the staff remains a pressing need for the program.

In the end, Seaton chose the environment that offered reliability and a fully assembled coaching staff. Oklahoma State provided both, making Stillwater the more secure landing spot for his college career.
