Rex Ryan Sends Strong Message About Jared Goff After Lions Beat Packers
Jared Goff Earns Praise From NFL Analysts After Lions’ Crucial Win Over Packers
Jared Goff continues to prove his value to the Detroit Lions, earning praise from NFL analysts after leading the team to a dramatic 20-17 victory over the Green Bay Packers.
Goff delivered an impressive performance, completing 22 of 32 passes for 303 yards and two touchdowns. His efforts helped Detroit secure an important divisional win, with Jake Bates sealing the result with a 22-yard field goal with just one second remaining.
NFL Analysts Praise Jared Goff
Following the victory, former NFL coach Rex Ryan and analyst Domonique Foxworth discussed Goff’s performance on ESPN’s Get Up, recognizing the quarterback’s consistent quality.
Ryan offered a strong endorsement of the Lions star, saying, “He’s a true NFL quarterback. For years he’s been like this.”
The comments reflect Goff’s reputation as a dependable leader who continues to deliver for Detroit, even when the spotlight often falls on other quarterbacks around the league.
Goff Delivers When It Matters Most
Goff connected with Jameson Williams for both of his touchdown passes, while Amon-Ra St. Brown had a standout game of his own, recording nine catches for 153 yards.
The Lions also showed composure in the closing moments. Jahmyr Gibbs stopped short of the end zone to help Detroit manage the clock before Bates converted the decisive field goal.
Goff’s ball security has also been a major positive. According to the report, he entered the matchup without throwing an interception this season. His touchdown-pass streak had reached 29 consecutive games, tying him for the 15th-longest streak in NFL history, according to the Lions’ public relations account.
Lions Look to Build on Important Victory
The win gives Detroit valuable momentum in the competitive NFC North race. Goff’s performance against Green Bay offered another reminder of his ability to guide the offense through high-pressure situations.
With more divisional challenges ahead, the Lions will need their quarterback to maintain this level of consistency. If Goff continues delivering accurate passes and making smart decisions, Detroit will have a strong foundation as it pursues further success this season.
