West Virginia Expected to Hire Veteran Offensive Line Coach Jack Bicknell Jr.

West Virginia University is reportedly set to bring on seasoned offensive line coach Jack Bicknell Jr., according to a report by FootballScoop.com. This move adds a wealth of experience to the

Mountaineers’ coaching staff, as Bicknell boasts an extensive resume spanning college and NFL levels.

The hire was first reported by John Brice and aligns Bicknell with head coach Rich Rodriguez, with whom he previously worked at Ole Miss in 2019. Bicknell most recently served as the offensive line coach at Wisconsin, following a stint at North Carolina.

Over his career, he has coached offensive lines at several notable programs, including Boston College, Mississippi, Auburn, and Louisville.

Bicknell’s coaching journey began in 1986 as a graduate assistant at Boston College. He later took the reins of the Louisiana Tech football program as head coach from 1999 to 2006 after serving as the Bulldogs’ offensive line coach.

His tenure at Louisiana Tech saw the team transition into the Western Athletic Conference and earn a share of the WAC title in 2001.

His NFL experience includes roles with the New York Giants (2009–2011), Kansas City Chiefs (2012), Pittsburgh Steelers (2013), and Miami Dolphins (2014–2017).

Known for his ability to develop strong offensive lines, Bicknell will now bring his expertise to Morgantown, helping West Virginia bolster its front line.
