The Suns has completed deal for Philadelphia 76ers  Point guard

The Suns still have their eyes on another point guard.

Despite being 38, Lowry remains a sought-after free agent this cycle. Although he seems likely to return to his hometown Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix could be an attractive option for the twilight of his career.

The Phoenix Suns are on the verge of finalizing deals with free agents Mason Plumlee and Monte Morris as free agency starts on July 6, but one roster spot remains open.

Suns insider John Gambadoro clarified on X/Twitter that signing Morris does not exclude the possibility of pursuing NBA champion point guard Kyle Lowry, though the likelihood remains low. Gambadoro stated, “By the way, total long shot here because of the vet min issue, but I would not doubt if they are still interested in Kyle Lowry – can’t rule that out yet. And yes, still working on Okogie.”

This may surprise fans, as Okogie was expected to return to the team, but the ongoing reports linking Lowry to Phoenix suggest mutual interest. The Morris signing indicated the franchise was content with him as the main “table setter” off the bench. However, adding Lowry could create a matchup-based point guard rotation, enhancing offensive versatility and flexibility for coach Mike Budenholzer.

Okogie has been a key part of the Suns over the last two seasons, and the organization values his contributions. It appears either Lowry or Okogie will fill the final roster spot, but a surprise wing signing could also be in the cards soon.
