The Miami Heat have announced another new signing

The Miami Heat announced on Thursday that they have signed guard Josh Christopher to a Two-Way Contract and waived guard Zyon Pullin. The team did not disclose the terms of the deal.

Christopher, named MVP of the 2024 Summer League Championship Game, played a key role in Miami’s title win in Las Vegas, averaging 19.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals, 1.8 assists, and 25.9 minutes per game over six games, with shooting percentages of 54.1% from the field, 52.5% from three-point range, and 100% from the free-throw line.

Previously, Christopher was with the Memphis Grizzlies after being acquired from the Houston Rockets in July 2023 but was waived by Memphis in September when the team signed Matthew Hurt and Mychal Mulder. This move was controversial among Grizzlies fans due to Christopher’s promising performance in the Summer League.

Selected 24th overall by the Houston Rockets in the 2021 NBA Draft, Christopher spent last season in the G League with the Salt Lake City Stars and the HEAT’s affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce. He played 18 regular season games with the Skyforce, averaging 15.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.39 steals, and 27.4 minutes per game, while shooting 43.9% from the field and a team-high 90.5% from the free-throw line.
