The Cherry Creek Bruins claimed their fifth Colorado 5A state football championship in the last six years, defeating the Legend
Titans 35-14 in a dominant performance. The victory, held at Empower Field at Mile High, marked another milestone for the
Bruins under head coach Dave Logan, whose leadership has propelled the program to sustained success.
Quarterback Jake McNamara was a standout, throwing two touchdown passes, including a crucial 35-yard strike to Lucas Grant in the second quarter.
Cherry Creek’s defense also played a key role, stifling Legend’s offense with relentless pressure and two interceptions.
Linebacker Brayden Clark was particularly dominant, recording multiple tackles for loss. Despite a late touchdown by the
Titans, Cherry Creek maintained control, securing the title and proving their dominance in Colorado high school football.
The win extends Cherry Creek’s impressive legacy, with five championships in the past six seasons,
further solidifying the program’s place as a powerhouse in the state. While Legend’s journey to the state championship was
commendable, the Bruins’ performance showcased their continued excellence. As Cherry Creek looks ahead to future seasons, their position at the top of Colorado football remains firmly intact
