Rangers are interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Bobby Clark on loan for the 2024/25 season, as reported by DaveOCKOP. According to the Liverpool insider’s website on July 6, Rangers are among several clubs, including RB Leipzig, RB Salzburg, and Norwich, vying for Clark’s loan signature.
Clark made 14 appearances for Liverpool last season, including playing in the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea in February.
Rangers’ manager Philippe Clement aims to add more young talent to the squad. Although a future purchase clause is unlikely in Clark’s loan deal, it is considered a strategic move for the club. The 19-year-old, who gained Premier League and European experience last season, scored his first goal and provided an assist against Sparta Prague in the Europa League.
Clark could be a valuable addition to Clement’s midfield and complement the potential signing of the more experienced Kenny McLean. Clement is conducting a significant squad overhaul this summer to create a team capable of competing both now and in the future.
In the Champions League qualifiers, Rangers could face teams like LOSC Lille, RB Salzburg, or Slavia Prague. Notably, Clark earned an 8.6 match rating against Slavia Prague, who finished just two points behind their Prague rivals.
Clark would bring valuable experience to a revamped Rangers side, providing a steady presence despite his young age.
