Rangers Defender Leon King Joins Queen’s Park on Loan…

Rangers defender Leon King has completed a loan move to Queen’s Park on an emergency deal until the end of the season. The 21-year-old joins the Scottish Championship side in search of regular first-team football after struggling for game time at Ibrox.

King, once considered a promising talent in Rangers’ defensive ranks, has found opportunities limited this season. With John Souttar and Leon Balogun nearing returns from injury, his chances of breaking into the first team appeared increasingly unlikely. As a result, Rangers interim manager Barry Ferguson sanctioned the move to ensure the young centre-back gains valuable playing experience.

The transfer was confirmed in a statement from Rangers at 8 PM on Friday, which read: “We can confirm Leon King will join @queensparkfc on loan until the end of the season. Good luck, Leon.”

Queen’s Park also welcomed King, stating: “The club are delighted to announce the loan signing of Leon King from Rangers until the end of the season. Welcome to The Spiders, Leon.”

King will now look to make an impact in the Championship, where Queen’s Park will benefit from his defensive abilities as they push to improve their league standing. The move offers him a fresh opportunity to regain form and confidence in a competitive environment.

The young defender has previously featured in European and domestic competitions for Rangers, but consistent minutes have been hard to come by this season. A successful spell with Queen’s Park could prove crucial for his long-term development.

With the loan set to run until the summer, all eyes will be on how King adapts to his new surroundings and whether he can impress enough to push for a return to the Rangers first team next season.
