Raiders’ Davante Adams issues severe warning to Chargers’ social team.

Davante Adams might have some extra motivation when his Las Vegas Raiders face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season, but it’s not due to anything the Chargers players have done. During an appearance on Kay Adams’ show, “Up & Adams,” Davante Adams voiced his displeasure with the Chargers’ social media team. Back in May, they posted a schedule release video on X (formerly Twitter) featuring a picture of Adams next to a box of “Garbage” Pop Tarts, which Adams did not appreciate.

“I thought about responding on social media, being funny there, but I figured it would be better to just beat their head in real life,” Adams said. “I just wanted to remind them what they’ve been going through when playing against me.”

Adams has accumulated 494 receiving yards and four touchdowns in his last four games against the Chargers. However, he emphasized that his issue is not with the Chargers players, but with the social media team, to whom he sent a stern warning.

“Hopefully, the people that made that post — because it’s not the players’ fault,” Adams said. “They didn’t have anything to do with the post. This is directed strictly toward the Chargers’ social media page: Please keep my name out of your mouth and show some respect.”

The Raiders had the last laugh in their most recent game against Los Angeles, winning 63-21 and setting a franchise scoring record.
