Pop Warner Names Steve Strawbridge Jr. as New President and CEO

Pop Warner Football has announced the hiring of Steve Strawbridge Jr. as its new President and CEO. Strawbridge will succeed longtime executive director Jon Butler, who retired at the end of 2024 after leading the organization for 33 years.

The Board of Directors also announced the promotion of Tim Glase to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Glase, who joined Pop Warner in 2021, has played a pivotal role in the organization’s recent initiatives and operations.

Strawbridge brings a wealth of experience to Pop Warner, having spent over two decades in the football industry. His career began in 1996 with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he worked in merchandising before moving to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2007 as Vice President of Merchandise Sales and Licensing. From 2017 to 2023, he served as the Hall of Fame’s Chief Administrative Officer, overseeing operations, sales, and the Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week festivities. Notably, he was instrumental in developing the National Youth Football and Sports Complex and the construction of Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, emphasizing his commitment to youth sports.

Strawbridge’s hiring reflects Pop Warner’s continued dedication to growing its impact on youth football and cheer. Under his leadership, the organization aims to build on its storied history while adapting to the evolving needs of young athletes and their communities.

The executive search was conducted by Prodigy Search, a leading recruitment firm specializing in sports and entertainment.

With Strawbridge’s extensive background and Glase’s promotion to COO, Pop Warner looks poised to continue its legacy as a cornerstone of youth sports in America.
