Packers announces shocking news on Josh Jacobs Breaking Performance

For the second consecutive week, Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs showcased his remarkable ability to break tackles, delivering a standout performance in Thursday night’s victory over the Miami Dolphins.

According to Pro Football Focus, Jacobs forced 15 missed tackles during the game—eight as a rusher and seven as a receiver. This impressive feat follows his Week 12 performance against the San Francisco 49ers, bringing his total to 27 missed tackles forced across the last two games.

Next Gen Stats credited Jacobs with 10 missed tackles forced in the Dolphins game, while his career-high of 15 occurred against the 49ers. On the night, Jacobs totaled 114 yards from scrimmage, including 53 yards gained after first contact as a rusher and 71 yards after the catch as a receiver. This indicates Jacobs’ ability to gain yards even in difficult situations, whether pushing through tackles as a runner or turning short receptions into significant gains.

Jacobs’ performance included an 11-yard run and a 1-yard touchdown, but his most notable play came in the fourth quarter. After hauling in a checkdown pass from quarterback Jordan Love, Jacobs dodged multiple defenders on a 49-yard catch-and-run that set up a field goal, extending the Packers’ lead to three scores.

Overall, the Dolphins struggled to contain the Packers’ ball carriers, missing 23 tackles on the night. In addition to Jacobs, receivers and backs including Jayden Reed, Chris Brooks, Emanuel Wilson, Dontayvion Wicks, and Tucker Kraft all contributed to Green Bay’s tackle-breaking success.

Over a span of just five days, Jacobs accumulated 49 touches, combining for back-to-back performances with double-digit missed tackles forced, solidifying his role as one of the league’s most elusive running backs.
