and know they will navigate this transition with class and integrity,” he said. Brown also expressed his deep connection to West Virginia, calling the state home for his family during his
tenure. He praised Mountaineer Nation for their unwavering passion and dedication, stating, “Mountaineer Nation is a dedicated and passionate fan base. With Wren’s leadership and
the foundation we worked so hard to create, I know the program is poised to embrace the challenges of today’s ever-changing football climate and make the investments necessary to advance.”
The outgoing coach extended his gratitude to his staff and their families for their hard work and sacrifices. “I am extremely grateful for our
tremendous staff and their families. You gave your all, and Brooke and I will always be here for you,” he said.
In closing, Brown offered encouragement to the team as they prepare for their upcoming bowl game, urging them to remain focused. “To our
team, stay focused and go win our bowl game! Let’s GO!” he concluded. Brown’s departure marks the end of a significant era for the
Mountaineers, but his words serve as a testament to his dedication to the program and belief in its future success.
