The ranking of the 100 best athletes of the 21st century, originally focused only on North American athletes, has now been expanded globally after being established 25 years ago.
ESPN, one of the world’s leading sports channels, is unveiling 25 athletes each day this week, and among them is Mikaela Shiffrin. Shiffrin holds the record for the most World Cup victories in alpine skiing (97), making her the most successful skier in history.
