Memphis Grizzlies Drops Shocking Update On Jo Morant Injury

Ja Morant has not played for the Memphis Grizzlies since November 6, when they faced the Los Angeles Lakers. The star guard has been

sidelined for several weeks due to a right hip subluxation and pelvic muscle strains. For the first time in weeks, the Grizzlies have provided an

update on Morant’s injury status, listing him as doubtful for Saturday night’s game against the Chicago Bulls. Although the designation of ”

doubtful” does not guarantee his return, the fact that Morant’s status has been updated a full day ahead of the game is seen as a positive sign,

with the possibility of further progress before tip-off. Through the first eight games of the season, Morant has averaged 20.6 points, 9.1 assists, and

5.0 rebounds, shooting 45% from the field, 26% from three, and 83% from the free-throw line. During Morant’s absence, the Grizzlies have posted a 3-4 record, which is respectable

considering they have also been without their starting center. Overall, the team holds a 9-7 record, placing them eighth in the Western

Conference. However, they remain 3.5 games behind the top spot in the standings and are just half a game ahead of falling out of the play-in race.

The Grizzlies will face the Chicago Bulls at 8:00 p.m. EST on Saturday. Chicago has won their previous encounter this season and currently

holds a four-game winning streak over Memphis.
