While many of the world’s top basketball players will be competing for their countries in the 2024 Paris Olympics, several international stars did not qualify for the Games.
This means that, despite the presence of exceptional talent in the tournament, numerous notable players will enjoy an extended break this summer instead of heading to France for a shot at the gold medal.
For this analysis, we focused on players who have previously represented their senior national teams. Consequently, some prominent international players, like Cameroon’s Pascal Siakam and Nigeria’s OG Anunoby, are not included in this list.
Also excluded are players from nations whose teams qualified for the Olympics but who were not selected for the rosters. This group includes well-known players such as Germany’s Isaiah Hartenstein, Canada’s Andrew Wiggins and Chris Boucher, as well as Australia’s Ben Simmons and Matisse Thybulle.
