Savannah James discloses that she forbade LeBron James from referring to her as his spouse: I detest it.
Evannah James, the wife of NBA player LeBron James, has publicly expressed her hatred of the word “wifey,” which she detested even prior to their September 14, 2013, wedding.
Savannah mentioned that she requested LeBron to hold off on referring to her as his wife until their marriage was legal early on, emphasizing the value of deference and appropriate recognition of their union.
She said to the Everybody’s Crazy podcast, “When I tell you I hate, loath, “wifey” with my whole entire soul,”
“Because I’m not your wifey, n****, don’t call me that. I’m not. Back then, I had to gently tell my husband.
“This my wife, this my wife,” he used to say when introducing me. I had to move him aside and say something like, “Excuse me, sir. Please don’t introduce me as that.” I’m not your wife, and when the time is right, I’ll earn the title. I don’t want you to begin believing that saying something is acceptable.”

Even though they have been together since high school, Savannah stated that she only wanted to be acknowledged as LeBron’s wife when the time was appropriate.
Even while Savannah is at ease being addressed as his wife, she is adamant about not liking the word “wifey,” believing it does not accurately describe her job. She also considered how LeBron used to casually introduce her, which she felt didn’t respect their connection to its fullest.
