Judas Priest Expands ‘Shield of Pain’ Tour with Major London Stop and More European Dates Legendary heavy metal icons Judas Priest have
announced additional dates for their highly anticipated ‘Shield of Pain’ tour, which celebrates 35 years of their groundbreaking Painkiller
album. Led by the indomitable Rob Halford, the band has continued to captivate audiences around the world with their electrifying
performances, navigating through the ever-evolving landscape of rock music. The newly added dates include a major show at London’s
O2 Arena, joined by rock legend Alice Cooper as the opening act. With both bands bringing their renowned energy to the stage, the ‘Shield of
Pain’ tour is shaping up to be one of the must-see events for metal fans in 2024. While the tour is centered around Painkiller, Halford recently
clarified in an interview with Heavy Consequence (as transcribed by Blabbermouth) that the band will not be
performing the album in its entirety. “We’re going to showcase Painkiller in a way that fans will find exciting,” Halford explained. “It’s still in the works,
but we’re not sure if we’ll perform a series of Painkiller songs in a block or intersperse them with other tracks. The concept is still evolving,
but it’s going to be an unforgettable experience, a once-in-a-lifetime show that you won’t want to miss.”
The ‘Shield of Pain’ tour promises to be a unique celebration of Judas Priest’s legacy, blending the force of Painkiller with other classic hits. Fans
can expect a powerful mix of tracks and a high-energy performance that only Judas Priest can deliver.
