Perhaps the newest front-runner for a five-star wide receiver is the Texas Longhorns. Dakorien Moore is joined by Jaime Ffrench, another outstanding receiver who may be headed toward Texas.
On Wednesday, Justin Wells of Inside Texas gave French an On3 RPM forecast to pick the Longhorns. His influence on his next team might be evident and immediate.
Ffrench is one of 32 players to be named a five-star player by On3 Sports’ industry rankings. He is ranked 19th overall.
If he choose Texas along with Dakorien Moore, the third-ranked player in the country, the Longhorns have probably not reached their offensive potential during head coach Steve Sarkisian’s time in Austin.
With players like quarterback Arch Manning, defensive back Xavier Filsaime, wide receiver Ryan Wingo, edge rusher Colin Simmons, right guard DJ Campbell, and left tackle Kelvin Banks, the Longhorns have persevered and prevailed over the long haul.
In the Sarkisian era, the current coaching staff’s faith in attracting players by holding off on making judgments has paid off. When they come to recruit again in 2025, they plan to keep up that trend.
