Iron Maiden has once again made an impact on the United Kingdom music charts, underscoring the enduring strength of their fan base in their
home country. This week, rather than debuting a new studio album, the legendary heavy metal band sees two of their classic albums—
Powerslave and Somewhere in Time—reappear on multiple charts, reflecting the ongoing demand for their iconic work, often in various
formats. Among the two, Powerslave is the standout performer. The 1984 album resurfaces on five different rankings, with notable
placements across several key charts. It re-enters the top 10 on four of these, including No. 2 on both the Official Vinyl Albums and Official
Rock & Metal Albums charts. It also lands at No. 6 on the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums charts. Additionally,
Powerslavereappears at No. 33 on the Official Albums Chart, a testament to its enduring popularity among listeners.
Meanwhile, Somewhere in Time, released just two years after Powerslave, also sees a strong showing, albeit on fewer charts. The 1986 album
ranks at No. 12 on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart and also places at No. 23 on the Official Vinyl Albums chart and No. 65 on the
Official Albums Sales chart. Both albums recently saw reissues on vinyl, with Powerslave marking its 40th anniversary, while Somewhere
in Time was released as a fan- focused offering. These reissues have clearly contributed to their renewed success, further cementing Iron
Maiden’s legacy in the U.K. music scene.
