Paul Alamoti Withdrawn from Pacific Cup Final Due to Suspected Dislocated Elbow
Panthers centre Paul Alamoti was forced to withdraw early in the second half of the Pacific Cup final after suffering a suspected dislocated elbow.
The injury occurred in the 45th minute when Alamoti attempted a tackle, emerging from the contact clutching his arm in apparent pain. He was sidelined for the remainder of the match.
Despite a determined effort, Tonga’s promising Pacific Championships campaign ended in a narrow 20-14 defeat to Australia in the final.

Rabbitohs captain Cameron Murray underwent successful surgery for a wrist injury sustained during training before Australia’s 22-10 defeat of New Zealand, ruling him out of the Pacific Cup final against Tonga. Murray’s wrist will be immobilized for six weeks before his rehabilitation begins.
