Born on August 11, 1959, in Buenos Aires, he became a defining figure in Latin American rock music. Cerati’s career spanned several decades, during which he explored various musical styles, blending rock, pop, and electronic influences.

Soda Stereo, formed in 1982, revolutionized the Latin American music scene with hits like “De Música Ligera” and “Persiana Americana.” Their innovative sound and poetic lyrics resonated across generations, earning them a loyal fanbase. After the band disbanded in 1997, Cerati pursued a successful solo career, producing critically acclaimed albums such as “Bocanada” and “Ah Ah Ah,” showcasing his exceptional songwriting and guitar skills.

In 2010, Cerati suffered a stroke that left him in a coma for nearly four years. Despite his health struggles, his music continued to inspire fans worldwide.
