LSU has bolstered its receiving corps by securing commitments from two standout wide receivers via the transfer portal.
Nic Anderson
Formerly with the Oklahoma Sooners, Nic Anderson announced his transfer to LSU on December 17, 2024. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 207 pounds, Anderson brings a significant physical presence to the Tigers’ offense. During his redshirt freshman season at Oklahoma, he showcased his playmaking abilities, notably earning Big 12 Conference Player of the Week honors after recording three touchdown receptions for 120 yards against Tulsa.
Barion Brown
LSU also added Barion Brown, a dynamic receiver and return specialist from Kentucky. Brown made a significant impact during his tenure with the Wildcats, setting an SEC record with five career kickoff return touchdowns. His versatility and explosive speed are expected to enhance LSU’s special teams and receiving unit.
These acquisitions reflect LSU’s strategic use of the transfer portal to strengthen its roster for the upcoming season. Both Anderson and Brown are anticipated to play pivotal roles in the Tigers’ offensive schemes, providing quarterback Jayden Daniels with additional targets and elevating the team’s overall performance.
