Eagles Face Key Injury Setbacks Ahead of Week 12: Star WR DeVonta Smith OUT, Bryce Huff to Miss 4 Games

Philadelphia Eagles Release Final Injury Report Ahead of Week 12 Game Against Los Angeles Rams

The Philadelphia Eagles issued their third and final official injury report on Friday in preparation for their Week 12 road matchup with the Los Angeles Rams.

DeVonta Smith Ruled OUT
Wide receiver DeVonta Smith has been ruled OUT for the game due to a lingering hamstring injury. Smith did not

practice this week and will miss his first game of the season. While his absence is a notable loss, the Eagles managed to defeat the Rams last

year with Smith playing a minimal role (one catch on five targets for six yards). The team’s receiving corps will consist of A.J. Brown, Jahan

Dotson, Johnny Wilson, and Ainias Smith. Britain Covey is also a potential addition to the active roster, though his status remains uncertain

(more below). The Eagles may lean heavily on Brown and incorporate more two-tight end sets featuring Dallas Goedert and Grant Calcaterra.

Bryce Huff Placed on Injured Reserve
Defensive end Bryce Huff has been placed on injured reserve following wrist surgery on

Thursday. He is expected to miss at least the next four games and could return for Week 16 against the Washington Commanders. With Huff

sidelined, the Eagles will rely on Josh Sweat, Nolan Smith, Brandon Graham, and rookie Jalyx Hunt as their primary edge rushers. Tarron

Jackson and newly signed Ochaun Mathis remain on the practice squad as depth options. Britain Covey Questionable

Wide receiver and return specialist Britain Covey has been designated as QUESTIONABLE for Sunday’s game. Covey, who has been on injured

reserve with a shoulder injury, returned to practice this week and was a full participant each day. The team must activate him by 4:00

PM Eastern on Saturday for him to be eligible to play. If active, Covey is expected to resume his role as the team’s primary punt returner and

could see additional offensive snaps with Smith out.

Other Injury Updates
Defensive tackle Milton Williams and edge rusher Jalyx Hunt were both upgraded to full

participation on Friday after being limited earlier in the week. Both players are expected to play on Sunday.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts and linebacker Nakobe Dean, who were both limited on Wednesday, are good to go for the game.
