Dak Prescott
Dak Prescott is now set to enter the free agent market in the 2025 NFL offseason, since his current team, the Dallas Cowboys, has no plans to extend his contract. It may appear unlikely that a QB as good as Prescott would be available on the free agent market, but I am not convinced the Cowboys will sign him.
Both Prescott and head coach Mike McCarthy are in the final year of their contracts, and if the Cowboys fail to make progress in the NFC playoffs this season, I could see the front management making a hard reset at head coach and quarterback.
This might allow Prescott to take advantage of a free agency tour, and why not with the Los Angeles Rams? If this occurs next offseason, Prescott will be able to enter a win-now situation with a top-three head coach, a strong offensive line, and adequate playmakers.
Prescott would also finally have the opportunity to play for a top head coach, something he has not done since his NFL career began in 2016.
