Back-to-Back MIAA Lacrosse Commitments: Calvert Hall’s Brady Stangle Joins Fairfield University
It’s not every day that we highlight back-to-back commitments from student-athletes at the same program—especially when both players are rivals, playing the same position, and share the same star ranking. Today, we have just such a rare and exciting situation to share!
Brady Stangle, a 2025 graduate from Calvert Hall College High School, follows in the footsteps of his fellow Cardinal, Greyson Enrique (2026), who committed to Fairfield University just yesterday. Like Enrique, Brady plays goalie and has earned a 3-star ranking from Inside Lacrosse. We’re thrilled to announce that Brady has committed to join Fairfield University, continuing the strong pipeline established by Fairfield head coach Andrew Baxter with MIAA programs.
Brady’s decision to choose Fairfield was driven by several factors. As he shared, “I love the campus, the academic opportunities, the coaches, the environment, and the plan they have to hold up a trophy. I want to be part of a school and team like that.”
Congratulations to Brady and his family on this exciting next step! As Fairfield looks to continue its climb toward championship contention, Coach Baxter’s team has their sights set on capturing the CAA Tournament title for the first time. After a strong 2024 season, which included a thrilling overtime loss to perennial powerhouse Delaware in the tournament semifinals, the Stags are poised to make their mark on the NCAA Tournament in the near future.
Fairfield’s success on the recruiting trail has been nothing short of impressive, especially when it comes to MIAA talent. The Stags’ 2025 roster will feature eight former MIAA players, and with Brady’s commitment, three more MIAA athletes from the class of 2025 are set to join. This trend shows no signs of slowing down, and it’s likely that even more MIAA standouts will commit to Fairfield in 2026.
In fact, the MIAA Lacrosse Discussion Page recently noted that, with their continued progress and potential, Fairfield is becoming a “sleeping power” in the lacrosse world. This past spring provided several promising glimpses of the program’s rise, and with more MIAA players joining the roster, Fairfield’s future looks incredibly bright. As Coach Baxter enters his fifth season (counting the shortened 2020 and 2021 campaigns), his influence on the team is becoming even more apparent, with more of the roster consisting of his recruits.
It’s clear that the Stags are headed in the right direction, and the beautiful Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium is quickly becoming a place to watch for years to come!
