Lopez has averaged 13.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game in his six seasons with the Bucks. In 2022–23, he placed second in the NBA Defensive Player of the Year voting and was named to two All-NBA Defense Teams.
Fischer points out that Lopez turned down larger offers from other clubs in order to sign a two-year contract with the Bucks last summer. It appears that he might not be able to fulfill the terms of the deal in Milwaukee.
