According to Viola News, Michael Kayode of Fiorentina is a player that Tottenham and Aston Villa are willing to sign in the summer transfer window.
The biggest threat to the Serie A team’s ability to hold onto the 19-year-old is Tottenham, according to Corriere Fiorentino’s report on June 24.
Later on in the day, Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà said that after Fiorentina rejected Aston Villa’s original offer of €15 million for the right-back, Aston Villa is anticipated to come back with a stronger offer.
The 37-year-old Italy U21 international’s performances last season were well-received, particularly in the Premier League.
Both Tottenham Unai Emery’s team have put forward approaches for the fullback. Although the report states that the two clubs’ offers totaled less than €20 million, Fiorentina rejected both of them. The precise sums proposed by these two clubs are not stated.
The Italian team “can only be tempted” to sell Kayode for about €25 million, bonuses included, according to Viola News.
According to Corriere dello Sport, last Saturday, Fiorentina may not be able to part with Kayode for a cost of about €30 million.
The asking price set by Viola News is less than that, thus in order for Tottenham and Aston Villa to get Kayode this summer, their offers must rise by at least €5 million.
