Phoenix Suns Face Injury Crisis Ahead of Matchup Against Denver Nuggets

The Phoenix Suns’ injury woes continue to mount ahead of their game against the Denver Nuggets, with key players ruled out due to various ailments. Star guard Devin Booker

remains sidelined with left groin soreness, an injury he sustained during Thursday’s game. Joining him on the injury report are Grayson Allen (concussion) and Bol Bol (left knee contusion), further depleting the Suns’ rotation.

Devin Booker, a cornerstone of the Suns’ offense, has now missed two consecutive games. The team is 0-1 without him and hopes for his return in time for Wednesday’s Christmas-Day clash

against Denver. Booker had played every game this season until his recent injury, making his absence a significant blow to a team struggling to find consistency.

Grayson Allen, who suffered a concussion during Saturday’s loss to the Detroit Pistons, has also been ruled out. Allen, averaging 10.4 points per game on 40.7% shooting, took an elbow to the

head and had to be helped off the court. Head coach Mike Budenholzer stated postgame, “We’re monitoring him for a concussion, so we’ll just see how he is in the morning.”

Allen’s absence adds to a challenging season where he has already dealt with Achilles and hamstring injuries. The Suns are 1-3 in games

Allen has missed, highlighting his importance to the team’s lineup. Bol Bol’s left knee contusion, sustained during a knee-to-knee collision in

practice, keeps him out as well. Bol has struggled to secure a consistent role in Phoenix’s rotation this season, but his unavailability further limits the team’s depth during a critical stretch.

The Suns are navigating a difficult 6-12 run, including two consecutive losses, as they prepare to face a strong Denver Nuggets team

(14-11). With their record now at 14-13, Phoenix needs to string together wins to regain momentum and avoid falling further in the standings.

Despite the mounting injuries, the Suns remain hopeful for a turnaround. Booker’s potential return for Wednesday’s matchup could provide

the spark they need, but the team must first find a way to compete shorthanded against the Nuggets.

Phoenix’s depth will be tested, and role players will need to step up as they battle through adversity. As the Suns work to climb back into contention, all eyes will be on their resilience and ability to adapt in the face of challenges.
