The Philadelphia Eagles returned to practice on Wednesday as they continue preparations for their upcoming game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, head coach Nick Sirianni
found himself fielding questions about the off-field discussions surrounding the team. In particular, the spotlight has been on the recent
in-game and post-game reactions, as well as Brandon Graham’s public remarks. These comments have sparked considerable attention and external speculation in recent days.
Sirianni addressed the media, noting that he frequently engages in conversations with his players on a wide range of topics, including any concerns arising from recent events. He
confirmed that he had spoken directly with Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown regarding the comments circulating about their relationship.
Sirianni emphasized that his focus is on the players’ work ethic and improvement. “I see them working diligently to improve, both
individually and together,” Sirianni stated. “Whether it’s post-meeting discussions about route-running or how Jalen should read a play,
they are clearly committed to refining their skills.” The head coach reiterated that fans only witness a brief three-hour window during game
day, a time when emotions are heightened, and interactions may appear more intense than they actually are.
Sirianni acknowledged that, after speaking with Hurts and Brown and reflecting on his own perspective, he believes the external narrative is
not entirely accurate. While understanding why it might appear that way to outsiders, he emphasized that the team had already addressed the matter internally. However, he
refrained from disclosing the details of their conversation, stressing that the focus now remains on preparing for their next opponent.
“Once the conversations are had, and everything is cleared up, the next step is to shift the focus completely to the task at hand,” Sirianni explained. “Our attention is fully on the
upcoming game.” The head coach expressed confidence in the team’s mindset heading into the match, noting that everyone is determined to put in the necessary work.
Sirianni also addressed the team’s performance, particularly the passing game. While acknowledging that improvements are still
needed, he praised Jalen Hurts for his consistency and ball security. “Jalen has been exceptional in protecting the football, his
accuracy has been solid, and his ability to make plays with his legs is a huge asset,” Sirianni remarked.
He also took a moment to highlight Hurts’ impressive record over the past four seasons, stating, “Jalen is 45-19 over the last four years.
That’s a remarkable achievement.” Despite the areas where the team still seeks improvement, Sirianni stressed that both coaches and players
alike are focused on refining their craft and ensuring continued progress. Finally, Sirianni emphasized that while the team’s passing
game is a work in progress, everyone is committed to getting better. “We all have things we can improve on—coaches, players, the entire
team,” he concluded. The Eagles’ leadership remains optimistic as they continue to focus on growth and preparation for the challenges ahead.
