Georgia cornerback Julian Humphrey has announced he will enter the transfer portal,
despite the portal officially opening on Dec. 9. Humphrey started the first 10 games of the season but had seen reduced playing time
recently, including being absent from Georgia’s win over Georgia Tech. He appeared in 11 games this season, recording 10 tackles and 4 pass
breakups. Humphrey made the announcement on Instagram, thanking Georgia fans and stating he has two years of eligibility remaining. His
status for Georgia’s upcoming SEC Championship game against Texas is uncertain. Coach Kirby Smart will address reporters later
today. Georgia’s cornerback depth includes Ellis Robinson, DeMello Jones, and Daylen Everette, with Harris starting the last two games. Smart
praised Robinson and Jones for their continued improvement this season.
