Oasis Fans Buzz with Excitement Over Teased New Music, Possible Collaborations, and Reunion Speculation

The worst-kept secret in music is officially out: Oasis – undoubtedly one of the biggest bands this country has ever produced – are back for a series of reunion shows next year.

It’s been a long time coming. When Noel and Liam Gallagher take the stage in Cardiff next July, it will mark the first time the brothers have performed together since their set at the V Festival in 2009 – unless they surprise us with a Glastonbury appearance the weekend before.

We’re wrapping up this page now, but there’s still plenty more across the BBC to keep your excitement building until tickets go on sale this Saturday.

Here’s everything you need to know about the reunion:

  • If you want to relive the glory days and beyond, BBC 6 Music has a special feature, The Rise and Fall of Oasis.
  • No new Oasis music yet, but unreleased versions of classic tracks will be dropping later this week.
  • Tickets go on sale this Saturday, with prices to be announced Thursday.

Today’s page was brought to you by Johanna Chisholm, Matt Spivey, Alex Taylor, Noor Nanji, Yasmin Rufo, Thomas Copeland, Jared Evitts, and myself.

And to borrow a line from Liam in a reply to a fan on Twitter: See you down the front.
