Former Texas Longhorns running back Jonathon Brooks is set to make his highly anticipated NFL debut with the Carolina Panthers against the New York Giants in Munich, Germany, next Sunday. After suffering a torn ACL in November 2023, Brooks spent months in recovery before being drafted by the Panthers in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Before the injury, Brooks was on track for a standout season at Texas, rushing for 1,137 yards and 10 touchdowns while also contributing in the passing game. Although initially expected to be ready by Week 3 or 4, Brooks’ recovery was carefully managed, with the Panthers prioritizing his long-term health. If all goes as planned, he will take the field for his first NFL snap this Sunday at 8:30 a.m. CT.
