The LSU Football program could see a tight end commit switch to a rival SEC school.

The LSU Football program has excelled by assembling the nation’s third-ranked recruiting class. The coaching staff secured most commitments before the season and has made minor additions during the season. However, a major concern with this approach is that rival schools have ample opportunity to try to sway recruits.

This has been evident this season, as Miami works to retain DJ Pickett and Michigan makes efforts to keep Bryce Underwood. While attracting top talent from out of state always poses a risk of losing commitments, the coaching staff has effectively maintained the class.

The Tigers could face a potential loss with tight end Mike Tyler, who committed to LSU in August as the 32nd-ranked tight end and 611th overall player according to On3’s rankings. With South Carolina gaining momentum from their recent victory over Texas A&M, there are indications that Tyler might flip to the Gamecocks, as predicted by 24/7 Sports.
