Recovering Warren Middle Schooler Receives Lions Gift Package Thanks to Resource Officer
A scary bike crash turned into a Lions heart story in Warren.
Travier, 7th grader at Lincoln Middle School, was riding near Van Dyke and 9 Mile on Oct 15 when hit by a truck that kept going, dragging him. Airlifted to Children’s Hospital Ann Arbor, several surgeries already with more ahead, but will make full recovery.
Warren Police Department said 28-year veteran and school resource officer Adnan Durrani wanted to make hospital time better. He reached out to Detroit Lions hoping for memorabilia — team sent full gift package: Jameson Williams jersey, two Lions hats, miniature helmet, Amon-Ra St. Brown bobblehead, plus phone call from Jamo himself.
Warren Police Commissioner Eric Hawkins: “Officer Durrani embodies the heart of our department, demonstrating genuine care and personal connection. We extend sincere thanks to Detroit Lions and Jameson Williams for remarkable generosity.”
