Detroit Lions Rule Out Four vs. Cowboys; Amon-Ra St. Brown Among Seven Questionable

The Detroit Lions will be short-handed when they take the field Thursday night against the Dallas Cowboys, officially ruling out four players on their final injury report. Safety Kerby Joseph, wide receiver Kalif Raymond, and tight ends Brock Wright and Shane Zylstra have all been declared unavailable.

Star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, who sustained a low ankle sprain during last week’s loss to the Green Bay Packers, headlines a group of seven players listed as questionable. St. Brown did

not participate in the portion of Tuesday’s practice open to the media, joining Wright, Raymond, Joseph, Zylstra, and offensive tackles Taylor Decker and Penei Sewell on the sidelines.

Head coach Dan Campbell noted that Joseph’s limited participation Monday was connected to his “down mood” in the locker room but emphasized that St. Brown will push to play if physically able. “If he can go, he’ll give everything he has to be out there,” Campbell said.

Special teams coordinator Dave Fipp acknowledged the team’s recent struggles, framing the moment as a “welcome back to reality” after Detroit’s extended run of success. “Guys want to win… they don’t like

losing,” Fipp said. “You live in a world where you win 15 games in a year — that doesn’t happen often. You’re never as good as you think you are, and you’re never as bad as you think you are. You’re somewhere in between.”

As Detroit pushes toward the postseason, the team remains intent on finishing the 2025 campaign with urgency despite mounting injuries.
